The idea of purchasing a Yamaha came from standing in the TT paddock listening to the Yamaha Classic Race team warm up their bikes. Apart from the fantastic dozen or so bikes which ranged from 125-750cc, the sound of the ying, ying, ying was hypnotic. Although from a more humble background this bike started life as an RD250A which was increased to 350cc via 400cc barrels. An odd way to increase capacity but it does work now! Raced in the Forgotten Era series for some years it is now undergoing a complete rebuild and update. As with most rebuilds it is taking longer than planned but the bike will see the track in 2011. Further updates will be posted as the bike is completed.
